Fees
Clear fees before work begins. For a suitable standard case involving reasonable preparation and one final hearing of up to one day within the normal service area, fees are intended to remain proportionate to the amount in dispute.

Talk Legal Limited is not presently registered for VAT, so VAT is not currently added.
What a standard quotation may include
The quotation will identify the actual work. A standard accepted case may include:
- —review of the main case papers;
- —one conference by telephone or video;
- —preparation for the final hearing;
- —attendance as lay representative at one final hearing lasting up to one day.
When a different fee may be required
The table is not appropriate where:
- —the papers are unusually extensive or disorganised;
- —there are several witnesses or experts;
- —the issues are unusually complicated;
- —substantial documents still need to be prepared;
- —the hearing is expected to last more than one day;
- —the hearing is outside the normal service area;
- —an adjourned or additional hearing is required;
- —work is requested outside the original scope.
We will explain a different or additional fee before the work is undertaken. You will not be charged for additional work unless it has been agreed in writing.
Other costs
Our fee does not ordinarily include court fees, expert fees, travel outside the agreed area, accommodation, copying or other third-party expenses unless the quotation says otherwise.
